Day SEVEN of Curly Girl Method!!!!!!!!

I. AM. LOVING IT!!!! The curly girl method is giving me softness, moisture, and CLEAN hair with no buildup!! BAM!!

Twist N Curl done on May 28th (Day 4 of CG Method)

I wanna start off by saying I know my cocoa butter mix would not be permitted in the most traditional CG method...but...my hair is dry dry dry...so I will have to modify it a bit...anywho, onto the style...

On May 28th, I did the whole cowashing thing with Tresemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner

I *probably* left some in, then I applied ALOT of FOTE Aloe Gel

I let my hair dry, but then I didn't like the look so I decided to do a Twist n Curl...
Of course I COMPLETELY forgot about the tons of gel I applied to my hair previously, but no worries, nothing bad happened because it's virtually impossible to get crunch with Aloe  Vera Gel...thank goodness lol

So I dampened each section, applied quarter sized amount of Tresseme Naturals Conditioner, sealed in with my cocoa butter mix, FOTE Aloe Vera Gel, then twisted, then rolled it up with gray and *one* orange rod lol...
The turnout was too "ropey" "twisty" looking so I put it up...

Nice right? lol I thought so :))

Okay...I didn't even TRY to maintain though!! I just slept with it like you see above, except I removed the scarf...here's how it looks today:

excuse my face! SMH! lol

That hair was a bit much so I put it up again :)

YAY!!! I am SO happy the CG method is working for me! <3 <3

Day 1 of Curly Girl Method (May 25th 2012)

Okay, here are pics of my FIRST Curly Girl Method day! So I clarified with a shampoo as the book says to do, then I loaded my hair up with the infamous "CG Safe" Tresemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner

then finger detangled under warm running water, then sealed with a cool rinse...I don't believe I rinsed all the conditioner out...then I applied Fruit of The Earth Aloe Vera Gel,

scrunched, and then dried my hair with a t-shirt for about 15 mins...

For *me* that, folks, is curl definition! Definately loving the CG method!

What is the curly girl method?

I'm gonna start this blog off by being honest, honesty is the best policy! So, anywho, I do not have the dough to buy the "Curly Girl" book by Lorraine Massey.

Therefore I am learning the CG method from Youtube and learned ALOT from this article here...you will learn from that article, in my opinion, really all that you need to know about the Curly Girl, or CG method...Welcome to my blog!
